Prompt Engineering
Better prompts = better apps. Here’s how to communicate with Sage.
Be specific about purpose
Less effective:
“Make me an app”
More effective:
“I need a task tracker for my team of 5 people to manage weekly tasks”
Describe the user
Tell Sage who will use the app.
“My customers are busy parents who need to book quickly on their phone”
Mention key features
List what matters most.
“Users should be able to: sign up, browse items, add to cart, checkout”
Give examples
Reference apps you like.
“Similar to how Calendly shows available time slots”
Iterate
Start simple. Add complexity through conversation.
- First: Core functionality
- Then: Nice-to-have features
- Finally: Polish and details
Tip: You can always say “change the button color to blue” or “make the font bigger”—Sage understands plain English.
